The ASHA Meeting On 20th Mar 1999

Minutes of the Meeting

• The details of the movie were finalised. Rahul will coordinate the ticket selling, Manoj will coordinate the postering. Bratin will coordinate the logistics, that is, procuring the video, booking the auditorium, etc.

• Our fundraising activities must be intensified. Hitten and Soumitra will coordinate these activities. Among the various proposals put forward were:
  • Contact area businesses and community members: We drew a list of local businesses owned by Indians and local community organisations. Hitten, Soumitra, and Dhara will network with community members. Vinod, Rahul, Manoj, and Bratin will contact area businesses.

  • Contact Yale faculty: Neeraja, Rupa, and Jayashree will set up appointments and contact faculty members at Yale who may be interested in ASHA activities.

• We also took a look at the ASHA publicity materials -- flyers, posters, and brochures. We also saw the contribution forms and receipts. Members suggested several changes to these documents.
